  • Older travelers

Very friendly couple and beautifully clean and comfortable.

We were disappointed on the the first morning when we asked for bacon and only got one rasher each. Next morning we asked for two and everything was fine.

  • Couple

Very friendly staff - chatty welcoming. Small details in the room - e.g. the green glass in the shower, green hand soap. Size of room was excellent. Decorating was very particular and detailed, very clean. Overall, a lovely 'feel' to the place.

  • Older travelers

Absolutely everything from the welcome, the rooms which are individually designed and colour co-ordinated with fabulous bathrooms, the food (breakfast) offering a good choice, the fact that everything is spotlessly clean, the hosts who are attentive, friendly and offer great advice on the area, but are not overbearing. The location is great - sufficiently out of town to be peaceful and close to a lovely country park, but town is just a very cheap taxi ride away, or a bus from outside the door. We have stayed in many hotels and B & Bs and have to say this is the best - everything worked, was functional, stylish, clean. We have paid more for Boutique Hotels which do not match the standard of Northrise Lodge.

Havin to leave after only two days (but we are planning to go back)

  • Older travelers

well run bed and breakfast. very comfortable, quiet and relazing. ideal after spending time looking around hastings in the rain. owners very pleasant. didnot have breakfast although it smelt good. outstanding.

  • Older travelers

The smile of Nick and Andrea and a pretty good piece of advise about where to eat and what to see in the neighbourhood.

  • Older travelers

Friendliness of owners. Genuine interest in their guests and really welcoming. Also beautifully decorated rooms, well thought out and very memorable. Overall it was a really lovely place to stay with absolutely beautiful rooms unrivalled in that area.

Parking could be easier I guess but this is really a minor criticism. Of course it would be easier if you could park in the grounds but it's not the most difficult problem to park nearby. Maybe a little more local knowledge beyond Hastings might help too in terms of recommendations for restaurants/pubs etc or even those little hints that give you an edge on other visitors but that will come with time.

  • Older travelers

A lot of investment has been made and clearly showed us that the owners have their customers needs as their primary focus. Excellent breakfast, with the best poached eggs for quite some time.

  • Older travelers

Friendly & helpful owners - even booked me in elsewhere when they couldn't accommodate because they were full. Premises spotlessly clean. Luxurious towels & bed linen. Rooms well appointed. Excellent bathroom & power shower. Good breakfast, cheerfully served. Would highly recommend & would definately stay again.

Nothing to dislike - obviously everyone has their personal preferences about things - but we felt it's a well run & well appointed B&B.

  • Couple

We had a very lovely stay during our honeymoon. Very luxuous and beautiful room, very helpfull and friendly hosts. Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasteful. The bed and the shower are both really comfortable. We definitely recommend this B&B!

It's a long walk to the city centre of Hastings or the seaside. But when you come by car this isn't a problem at all.

  • Older travelers

Warm genuine welcome a lot of effort has gone into this hotel in making it a viable business which has only been running we gathered two years.

Our room was lovely but the only criticism we have is that there were too many beautiful cushions on the bed (we are not talking pillows) if one was to watch TV and wanted to relax on the bed pillows (propped up would have been enough) but to our taste we were putting the cushions on the chairs out of the way because to us they served no useful purpose but that is just US otherwise could not fault the room.

  • Couple

The most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed at! It was very homey and comfortable, excellent value for money and the owners were friendly. It was a slightly far from the sea front but it was perfect for us as we both love walking. Would definitely come back again it was altogether a lovely stay!

  • Older travelers

Friendliness of the owners and excellent location for our visit to Hastings uk. We were grateful for the owners agreeing to keep their reception open after their usual closure time (as we were late arrivals) Very nice b&b in picturesque location.

  • Older travelers

Fantastic b&b located at the outskirts of Hastings. Superbly decorated and the hosts are very friendly; great service. Clean rooms with beautiful decorations.

If there is anything negative that I can think of its that you need a great pair of legs to walk to the boulevard and old town of Hasting. But a cab can fix that issue very quickly.

  • Older travelers

We had a wonderful visit to Hastings and the Northrise Lodge was the highlight. Nick and Andrea are exceptional hosts and everything about the place is top notch. The rooms are gorgeous and the breakfast is a bargain, I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous B&B.

    The place is perfect !

  • Older travelers

We were delighted with the facilities at Northrise Lodge, our room was very comfortable with a wonderful selection of beverages and toiletries The view was out over the house tops to the sea. We would certainly use Northrise Lodge again. .
